Contents:

  1. Complex filters
  2. In-depth analysis of audio range modulations: FM on oscillators and filters, AM, sync, PWM, ring modulation
  3. Sampling principles, sample acquisition and manipulation, application of samples to synthesis
  4. Use of MIDI

Hints of:

  • Additive synthesis, physical models, re-synthesis, synthesis, granule, reconstruction of samples, latest developments

Historical part:

  • Electro-mechanical keyboards: Rhodes, Wurlitzer, Clavinet, Hammond organ and their idiomatic use (see “Keyboardist Exercises”)

Practical part:

  • Principles of layering, creation of splits and layers and execution of parts that include splits with intonation transported
  • Progressive exercises for Realtime controllers, starting with the pitch wheel and continuing with the modulation wheel, pedals, aftertouch, breath controller
  • Execution of pieces of progressive difficulty from the series “Exercises for the Tasierista” and from didactic books dedicated to the sounds of Rhodes, Clavinet, Hammond, Minimoog, etc.
