Master class on Sutartine, Lithuanian folk music that will be curated by Vita Rusaityte, a Jazz vocalist and singing teacher visiting the Erasmus department at Saint Louis from Vilniaus Kolegia, Lithuania .
We will talk about the influences of Sutartine on other musical styles like Rock, Jazz, and Fusion. Participants will also have the opportunity to listen to various musical examples starting from the very ancient original Sutartines to the combined musical styles of today. Students will be also given the opportunity to try to perform them.

Vita Sasnauskiene (stage name Vita Rusaityte ) is a jazz singer, composer and arranger, expert in the scat technique, admired for her low, rich and warm voice and for her exceptional artistic talent. His repertoire includes jazz standards and original compositions, improvised music, pop, samba and bossanova melodies.
