“My Journey as a Composer”. Master Class by Sivan Arbel.
After last year’s success, Sivan Arbel returns as a guest of Saint Louis College of Music, this time for a new, streamed Master class.
Tuesday 5th May, through a webinar on the Zoom platform and live on Saint Louis College of Music Facebook page, the Israeli artist will perform some of his original compositions and will talk about how the experiments in different musical genres, the numerous trips around the world and her experience in dance have influenced the style of the performances, increasing her potential as a musician and composer.
Sivan Arbel is an Israeli vocalist, band leader, composer and arranger, based in Brooklyn, NY. “Sivan” is distinguished by an infectious jazz-fusion style and a vibrant and powerful live. Born with a deep passion for music and dance, the “Sivan” style is a fresh mix that harmoniously blends its Israeli-Mediterranean-Middle Eastern roots with international rhythmic influences, a refined jazz language of author with scat arrangements and improvisations, in English and Hebrew, all seasoned with rhythmic grooves that accompany her dance movements on stage; each of her live performances pushes the audience to dance and have fun, from the smallest clubs to festivals around the world, overcoming linguistic barriers and cultural boundaries, thanks to an atmosphere that combines music, movement, dance, pleasure and fun.
The Webinar held by Sivan Arbel anticipates her next visit to Saint Louis, already expected for April 2020 and postponed until the world health emergency will allow travel again. The Israeli vocalist does not give up meeting the Italian public and will take advantage, in fact, of direct streaming to shorten the distances, sharing in an intimate atmosphere, her personal experience as a musician and performing her original compositions in acoustic.
