He graduated from Berklee College of Music at Boston in 1990 where he studied with Herb Pomeroy, Oscar Stagnaro (Paquito D’Rivera bassist), Lonnie Plaxico (bassist with Jack DeJohnette), Bruce Gertz (bassist with Jerry Bergonzi).
He has been working, and currently works, extensively with many artists of the pop, jazz and Latin scenes, such as Carmen Consoli, Fiorella Mannoia, Il Volo, Nina Zilli, Gianni Morandi, Alex Baroni, Claudio Baglioni, Peppe Servillo, Antonella Ruggiero, Patti Smith, Dulce Pontes, Gege ‘Telesforo, Javier Girotto, Fabrizio Bosso, Ralph Towner, Paolo Fresu, Enrico Rava, Tony Scott, Dick Halligan, Randy Brecker, George Garzone, Barbara Casini, Horacio “El Negro” Hernandez, Hilton Ruiz, Pochy Familia, and Serpiente Latina.
As a sideman he played in many orchestras (including RAI-TV orchestra in Sanremo in 1996, Sanremo Giovani in 1999 and Sanremo Famosi in 2000) directed by Gianni Ferrio, Ritz Ortolani, Eumir Deodato, Richard Evans, Peppe Vessicchio, Pippo Caruso, and has accompanied world-class artists such as Geroge Benson, Michael Bolton, and Celine Dion.
He has created many personal projects, including Puente Latino with Carlos Sarmiento and Ruben Chaviano, National Quartet with Marco Rinalduzzi, Sandro Centofanti and Marcello Surace, RadioTrio with Enrico Zanisi, Emanuele Smimmo, and Partenope with Antonella De Grossi.
He teaches at Frosinone and L’Aquila Conservatories and at the Saint Louis Music Center in Rome.
