Mimmo Langella, guitarist and Neapolitan composer of the ’68 class, began playing the guitar at the age of twelve. His study experiences includes a seminar at the “Berklee School” during the Umbria Jazz ’86, the diploma with honors at the “Guitar Institute of Technology” (GIT) of Hollywood achieved in ’94, the first and second level degrees in “Jazz Music “Music with the highest marks” in 2007 and 2009 at the “San Pietro a Majella” Music Conservatory of Naples, the second level degree in “Jazz Guitar” achieved with honors in 2015 at the “Domenico Cimarosa” Music Conservatory of Avellino. He has only four albums, “The Other Side” (self-produced, ’02; Editions Smoothnotes, 2012), “Funk That Jazz” (self-produced, ’08; Editions Smoothnotes, 2012) which sees the extraordinary participation of Scott Henderson, “Soul Town” (Smoothnotes Publishing – GBMUSIC, 2012) and “A Kind of Sound” (Smoothnotes Publishing – GBMUSIC, 2018), and the song “Jonathan the Seagull” published in the compilation “Sotto Tiro” (Southern Groove Records , ’96, Smoothnotes editions, 2012).
