Being the first selection of many jazz stars like Marcus Miller, Billy Cobham, and Bill Evans, Dean Brown is also an excellent teacher. In fact, he has been teaching at the prestigious MI – Musician Institute of Los Angeles, which is a school founded by Howard Roberts in the seventies. It has included in a group of professors such as Joe Pass, Pat Martino, Ted Green, Robben Ford, Ron Escrete, and many others. He has collaborated with many artists including Marcus Miller, Randy Brecker, Billy Cobham, Bill Evans, and Dave Sanborn who refers to him as “The Man”. Listening to his live performances are exciting enough. The enthusiasm in every single note plays with the guitar is the business card for all those who have been lucky enough to attend one of his concerts.
