Dario ZenoDario Zeno

He started learning at a very early age under the guidance of M ° Antonio Solimene who prepared him both for the first exams in the Conservatoire and for jazz study. With M ° Alessandra Brucker, he got his Diploma in 2004 as an external student, attaining a 9/10 final in the “Lorenzo Perosi” Conservatory of Campobasso.

 

Alongside the studies, he carried out an intense activity both as a pianist and keyboard player in several jazz, fusion, and pop groups, in recording studios and live collaborations with well-known artists such as Eddie Anderson, Gavin Harrison, Pietro Condorelli, Dario Salvatori , Nino D’Angelo, Marcello Coleman, Alessandro Safina, etc.

In 2000, he founded a jazz trio in his name with which he played in several Italian festivals, among which “Nick La Rocca European Jazz Festival 2003”.
In 2003 he won, with the Dario Zeno Trio, the “Petrucciani Award” adjudging the first 2 prizes including “best soloist” and “best original song”.
In the same year, he joined the “Tribunal Mist Jazz Band”, an orchestra with which he performed in the most renowned Italian festivals, such as: Umbria Jazz (2004, 2005, 2006, 2007) and Ischia Jazz (2004, 2006).

 

With this same orchestra, he recorded his second album “Authorized Notes”.

These past few years, he has engaged in theater productions with “Teatro Segreto” under the artistic direction of Ruggero Cappuccio.
Since 2003, he has been a music educator both in private and public institutions.
