The pianist Aaron Parks is a jazz musician. Born in Seattle in 1983, he played piano at the age of 16. He later moved to the Manhattan School of Music. After completing his studies, in 2002 he joined the quintet of Terence Blanchard with whom he recorded several albums, including some soundtracks for director Spike Lee.
In addition to playing with Blanchard, Parks has released several albums as a band leader, including “Invisible Cinema” (Blue Note, 2008), “Aaron Parks” (Nonesuch, 2011), “Arborescence” (ECM, 2003), “Find The Way “(ECM, 2017), for which he used Ben Street on double bass and Billy Hart on drums and was inspired by the music of Alice Coltrane and Shirley Horn.
